Van Mourik Bouw collaborated with an American company on the UNTAMED ride for Walibi Holland. Travelling at a speed of 92 kilometres per hour, you’ll go upside down five times and experience 14 moments of airtime. Van Mourik Bouw carried out all the surveying, foundations and anchoring work, including the installation of hundreds of steel foundation piles for UNTAMED.
UNTAMED is Europe’s first hybrid roller coaster. This means that the structure is made entirely of wood, whilst the track is made entirely of steel. The wooden structure of Robin Hood has been used as the basis for UNTAMED. The steel track has been mounted on top of this, delivering an unrivalled ride along the 1,085-metre-long track.
