Van Mourik Bouw has renovated and restored an existing listed building on Keizersgracht in Amsterdam. This building is a listed monument. The exterior has been fully restored to its original condition in accordance with all the requirements applicable to a listed monument. The interior of the building has been completely converted into two high-end apartments.
As very little additional weight could be added to the building, a special lightweight floor was used – a magnesite floor, to be precise. Underfloor heating was incorporated into the floor during installation. In addition, the entire interior was designed, constructed and finished to a high standard in collaboration with Atelier Markx.
