For Metrapint, which was founded in 1891 and has grown into an international company with branches in Estonia, Russia, and the Netherlands (since 2018), Van Mourik Bouw removed the existing concrete floor in the industrial building in Heerenveen. Subsequently, 1,762 steel tubular piles were driven into the ground, onto which the new industrial floor was poured. This industrial floor has a load capacity of 15,000 kg per m². A total of 120,000 kg of reinforcing steel was incorporated into the entire floor.
In addition to Van Mourik Bouw renewing the floor, the entire industrial building was renovated. The total construction time was 28 weeks.
