For CJ Orchids, we completed a modern new-construction project consisting of a large commercial space/warehouse with an integrated office. We also handled the concrete work, such as the loading pit and the underground flower transport tunnel. The facility is designed for the efficient processing, packaging, and distribution of flowers.
A distinctive feature of the project is the underground concrete tunnel that runs beneath the greenhouse walkway. This tunnel is fitted with hatches and provides a direct link between the greenhouse and the warehouse. A conveyor belt transports the flowers from the greenhouse – where they are cut – through the tunnel to the warehouse. Here, the flowers are carefully processed and packed for further distribution.
This greenhouse is mainly used for growing chrysanthemums, but the complex has been designed to be flexible, making it suitable for growing orchids as well. This versatility ensures that the company can easily adapt to different crops and market developments.
