About us
Where it all began
Van Mourik Bouw has been run for some time by the two
brothers Dany and Johan van Mourik. In 2014, they jointly took over the family business from their father, Arie van Mourik senior,
who had founded the company from home in 1980.
In 2004, the company moved to new premises at De Geer 18 in Ophemert, near Tiel on the A15 in the centre of the country. From there, the company was further expanded into what it is today.
At the end of 2021, Van Mourik Bouw acquired the family business Rasing Bouw from Culemborg, thereby establishing a second branch in Culemborg and expanding the team of skilled professionals.
Following the takeover, the Van Mourik brothers began to specialise in two distinct areas of the construction industry: non-residential construction and luxury (apartment) construction.
Over the years, the company has grown from a regional firm primarily engaged in carpentry and refurbishments into a company operating nationwide and even across the border, with a wealth of experience spanning over 40 years in construction.
Today, they build luxury residences, renovate and refurbish (listed) buildings alongside 50 employees, and ensure that commercial buildings such as offices and industrial premises for production and logistics are completed in no time.
contributing ideas and working together
Construction in itself is not difficult, but all the factors surrounding it do make it complex. Every construction project faces its own unique challenges in this regard. In non-residential construction, for example, it is not just the building that matters; logistics are usually even more important for manufacturing companies, and the speed of construction is often essential.
Here too, Van Mourik Bouw works closely with its clients. In high-end construction, it is again important to pay close attention to noise requirements, but also to deliver a very high-quality finish that can only be achieved with the right partners and specialist expertise.
Ensuring that all those hundreds of components involved in a construction project end up in the right place, in the right order and within the right timeframe is something Van Mourik Bouw can do!
In addition to its own project managers, site supervisors and carpenters, Van Mourik Bouw has its own joinery workshop where high-quality timber products are manufactured for both new-build projects and specific timber products for restoration work. In this way, Van Mourik Bouw keeps the entire process in-house, enabling the highest possible quality and speed to be achieved.
Teamwork
In summary, during the execution of a project, the focus is on carefully monitoring the construction process, managing the schedule, keeping the budget under control, and ensuring continuous quality control.
This involves close contact and short lines of communication with the client, architects (including interior designers) and other parties involved in the construction process.
Van Mourik Bouw believes that construction is a team effort involving close collaboration with all parties involved, and that this approach yields the best results for both clients and builders.
